February 2008 Open House another year of success!
After the World Ag Expo, We hosted a 3-dairy tour to view Swedish Red, Montbeliarde, and Red Dane Crosses. We had over 200 people from the U.S. and vistors from Italy, Sweden, Denmark, France, Portugal, Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, England, Chile, and Mexico.

SRB-lowest SCC again!

In the statistics from year 2007 Swedish Red once again prove the good udder health! In average first lactation Swedish Red cows have 56 000 SCC compared to 69 000 for Swedish Holstein. The average for all lactations is 83 000 SCC for SRB and 99 000 for Holstein!

The SRB breed had the highest increase in production with 137 kg ECM and also strengthen their strong position with high solids in the milk and improved the Fat and Protion with 12 kg.

crossbreds. It was a huge success! We had over 200 people here from all over the U.S. and visitors from Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, and France. Everyone was very impressed.

97% of our customers make their living from a milk check, therefore they need a cow that makes them money and has a long trouble free life.

In 1998 Creative Genetics of Ca, Inc. started importing semen from the breeds that we thought would complement the U.S. Holstein very well. Because the Europeans test for SCC, Fertility, and Longevity, they were a natural fit. Most of our customers needed improvement in these areas. We wanted to make a cow that would stay up at night taking care of her owner, not the owner staying up at night taking care of her. The crossbreds are doing this.

Creative Genetics of Ca, Inc. has more experience with crossbreeding, than any other A.I. company in the world.

In California we are now approaching 40,000 head of crosses and the results have been amazing. In most instances the crosses have lower SCC, have higher production, and better reproduction than any of the pure breeds. We have tried over seventy different combinations of crossbreeding.

Some have worked better than others and because of that we are now focusing on 4-5 main breeds for crossbreeding. We supply our customers with the following breeds Swedish Red, Red Dane, Danish Jersey, Montbeliarde, Swedish and Danish Holstein, French and German Holstein and Brown Swiss. We are exclusive distributors in the U.S. for Coopex, Dansire, and Svensk Avel. We also bring in Holsteins from Genes Diffusion and Uneco. In California we distribute Brown Swiss for New Generation.
